WHAT IS ALBUMIN?
Albumin is a family of globular proteins, the most common of which are the serum albumins. All the proteins of the albumin family are water-soluble, moderately soluble in concentrated salt solutions, and experience heat denaturation. Albumins are commonly found in blood plasma and differ from other blood proteins in that they are not glycosylated. Substances containing albumins are called albuminoids.
Recent studies have demonstrated that by heating a liquid platelet-poor plasma (PPP) layer, the resorption properties of heated albumin (albumin gel) can be extended from 2 weeks to greater than 4 months.
That gives greater healing results to PRF or CGF protocols!!!!
By heating and denaturing albumin, a modification in the secondary structure after heating transforms liquid PRF into a tridimensional structure. The heating process consists of a pronounced modification in the surface structure of albumin within its resorption properties favoring more stability when implanted back into host tissues.

A device which provides us with blood derivatives of better quality and brings the heater’s products in room temperature fast .
The goal is to store the blood at a temperature of 4⁰C.
This procedure will allow our clients to have larger PRF clots (50%) in all their clinical cases. Indeed, temperature plays an important role in clot quality: if the temperature drops, blood clotting is delayed and fibrinogen is not consumed during blood sampling.
We place the blood collection tubes in the Cooler Heater to reach temperature of 4⁰C. The same can be done with the butterfly needle. After the blood sampling is completed, we place them back in order to maintain the low temperature of 4⁰C, before we transfer the blood collection tubes to the centrifuge.
Everything is done simply, neatly and quickly at a constant low temperature!!!
